What is Acai?

Acai (pronounced "Assai") is a 15 to 25 meter tall palm that grows in the northern Amazon basin in the undergrowth of the rainforest. Its fruits are small, almost black berries with an exceptionally high content of anthocyanins antioxidaditv acting.
